Sketch is a macOS-native vector UI design tool that pioneered the modern interface design workflow with Symbols, shared libraries, and a rich plugin ecosystem. It was the category-defining tool for UI designers throughout most of the 2010s and has since bolted on Sketch Cloud for browser-based collaboration and commenting to stay competitive. It remains a capable, polished product — just no longer the default choice for teams starting fresh.
